is it the years of medical school? or the long hours of residency? or perhaps the difficult job of telling people bad news?
whatever it is that makes all mark's doctors a**holes...they need to fix it. is it too much to ask that an office NOT make a dying man wait an hour and a half before he sees the doctor?! or that labs be scheduled closer to home...or at least when a 5-minute appointment for a lab is scheduled that one doesn't have to wait 20 minutes past the appointment time.... or if there's an appointment with the urologist, is it too much to ask that something is at least LOOKED at instead of just another appointment being scheduled for something to happen 6 days in the future. my favorite is when the caregiver is told "yeah, sure, bring the form by and i'll sign it..." by the doctor...then takes the form in and is told that the doctor isn't in on mondays and wednesdays after 12 to catch up on paperwork...and then the damn doctor walks by! i just need a f*****g signature!!! the damn paperwork that i'm bringing in is already FILLED OUT! (if they don't call me by 10 am tomorrow morning...there will be words.)
i would like the medical profession to step it up...they are in a profession that can save lives and truly make a difference...and i feel like they're all failing.
